I have over 5 years experience working in merchandising, starting at BHS within their Head Office merchandising department. I also spent time working and understanding direct importing, which was a great base for my understanding of logistics.
I then moved to John Lewis in 2005 when they had just brought in the merchandising function. I expanded my skills learning about implementing processes from the basics of Monday reporting to an effective range planning process.
I joined Paperchase in 2007 where I worked for nearly 10 years, working my way up to the role of Merchandising Manager and managing a team of 24 people. I was key in changing a lot of processes, reporting, interrogating replenishment systems, training and developing the team and changing how we worked logistically in order to provide a better service for the warehouse and stores. And that’s where my dream of starting my own consultancy was born…
I launched FKP Consultancy in 2017 as I want to help other businesses grow and succeed. Merchandising and building processes such as WSSIs and planning tools, reviewing replenishment systems and offering training and development are at the core of our service offering, but these tools can also be used to support start ups and help established businesses with their growth strategy .
